Beach House

On Thursday we went with some friends to stay at a beach house in Lincoln City, OR.  It was nice to get a break from life and go have a little vacation.  When we got there we took Dallin to the beach.  We let him crawl all over.  Dallin even decided to try eating the sand.  He did not enjoy it.  He got so covered in sand and was wet and cold.  Luke even put his feet in the water.  Crazy daddy!  Since it is November it was cold, wet, and windy but it was still a lot of fun!

We had a great time thanks for inviting us!

PS - we updated the carseat pictures.

Dallin is 10 months old!

So yes I am really behind in posting to our blog.  Life has been busy.  Luke has been going through midterms so my "free"time has been in short supply.  Here is the latest from our family.

Dallin has a new toy.  He is learning to ride it and walk with it.

Dallin is learing how to climb onto his toy himself and crash it into a wall or window.

We had great dificulty taking pictures of Dallin with our pumpkin.  He was not interested in any of our photo shoots this month.  This picture was the only one without him crying.

On my birthday we took Dallin to get some pictures in the leaves.  The only problem was that it had been raining an hour before.  So this was Dallin's reaction to the wet.

Eventually he warmed up to the idea of the leaves.

If you give Dallin a box...

Dallin loves to crawl in the grass.

Such cute boys!

Lately I have gotten back into crocheting.  I have made 2 beenies for Dallin and just learned how to crochet flowers.  Luke thinks Dallin wearing a beenie makes him look like a cancer patient.  Oh well.

On Halloween eve Luke carved our pumpkin.  Dallin wanted to help.

The final product
We have been having tons of fun and are enjoying the changing season.  We look forward to the next month as we turn towards the never ending rain.

Da-da!

Dallin has added another word to his vocabulary. To go along with mama and bob, Dallin now can say dada.

It's amazing that he was willing to say it on film.

More Dallin

Well once I get the camera out I want to use it a lot! Here are some pictures of Dallin being himself.

On the grass.

Having a good laugh!

Playing on the bench.

I put this bin the doorway to slow Dallin down. Dallin decided it was a great place to hangout. Even today, when the bin was not in the doorway, Dallin went over and sat on it again.

Dallin loves to climb up peoples legs.

He then will hangout there for a while. typically he likes to grab whatever you are using, a remote, or the power cord to the computer.
Dallin loves to crawl into the fridge. Anytime the door opens he comes crawling. and if you do not close the door quick enough you will have this.

Dallin Stats

I realized I did not give Dallin's latest stats.
On September 29th:
Weight: 21lbs (60%)
Height:29 3/4 inches (90+%)

His growing has slowed down some in the weight department so he is starting to be tall and skinny like his dad.
I have now updated the carseat pictures, thanks for the reminder Kami.

Lots going on!

This last month we have been having a lot of fun and some not so fun adventures. Dallin has been the center of many of these new adventures.
Here Dallin is after he knocked his gate over. He thinks that when his gate is leaning against the wall it has the same support as when it is actually set up.

Dallin now loves to eat graham crackers. He likes to pick up little pieces of food and eat them. Especially if they fall into his bib.

Here is Luke and Dallin at an elementary school in Portland. This is what they saw.

Thousands of swifts flying in and out of this chimney.

Here are the boys again. We met a group of our friends there to enjoy the evening. It was fun!

Here is the cute boy himself!

Such a cutie!

Here is Dallin in the tutu that I made for Kaylee.

He was having a lot of fun playing in the tutu. I guess this is the closest I get to a baby girl for now.

This is what happens when a little boy misses his morning nap.
Dallin turned 9 months on September 30. Here are some of the pictures from his photo shoot. Dallin now likes to smile whenever the camera comes out.

With piggy!

Dallin grew his first tooth. He has been having some rough nights and so we have gone back to wrapping him up every night. Here he is showing it off. Once it comes in further we will be able to see it when he is smiling.

Dallin loves to play in the kitchen. Especially this piece of wall.

Dallin loves to play with the fridge. He loves to climb in the fridge and up the front of it.
This last month has been fun with Luke back in school and Dallin learning so many new skills. Dallin loves to eat anything you give him. Today he even took back his dislike of avocado. Luke has his first test of the semester tomorrow, so he has been home a lot to spend time with us. We look forward to the next month.

The Pumpkin Patch Corn Maze!

Today we went to the Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island. We went with a few of our friends. Thanks Sierra for inviting us! We went through the corn maze and climbed the haystack. We also checked out the market. It was a lot of fun!
