Over the past few weeks we have been going through new phases with Dallin. First he now likes to sleep on his tummy. Almost every time we place him on his back he rolls onto his tummy. Dallin has not figured out how to roll from his tummy to his back so he stays on his tummy most of the time.
Dallin also seems a lot more interested in what we are doing. Like when Luke is working on the computer.
Dallin also likes to lay in strange positions. This is just after he woke up. It doesn't look comfortable to us but he can do whatever he likes.
We are also trying to get Dallin to say hello when we are talking to people like his aunt Heidi on the phone. He will smile and get all worked up but no sound comes out. Therefore we are having him practice with his toy phone.
Dallin has been growing like crazy! We have him wearing mostly 12 month outfits. In this pictures he is wearing a 2T set of overalls. He is growing up way too fast!
Dallin is also learning how fun toys can be. We now are able to keep him happy longer by just handing him one of his toys. We also attach his toys to his stroller to keep him happy on longer walks (like to church and back).
Here we are trying to take a picture of ourselves. It took many shots before we were able to get one that showed both of our faces. It's amazing how squirmy Dallin can be.
On Saturday we finally started Dallin on rice cereal. Dallin got to sit in his new high chair. He likes to stare at the letters on his tray. Here is Dallin before all the fun with food began.
Here is Dallin's first bite!
As can be expected Dallin did not keep himself clean. He spit out most of the food we gave him. But Luke and I had a good laugh.
Here is Dallin after he was done. He seemed to enjoy himself but was very excited to see his bottle afterward.
Today Dallin ate some more cereal and swallowed most of it. Dallin is also able to squirm his way around the floor. He is able to move from one place to another but we have not seen it yet (he only moves while we are not looking). A new skill we noticed today is that he is starting to straighten his arms and push himself up. It will not be long before he will be up on all fours.

Lora! Thanks for posting those pictures, he is so cute! What gorgeous blue eyes! How big is he now? My friend Sara's baby (Megan... often in my blog) is 14 months and not even 20 pounds yet. She is a petite little thing.
ReplyDeleteMaybe sometime in the next few months Chris and I can come down for a day... I'd love to meet Dallin! :-)
