Now that we are finally settled it is time to start working on the blog again.
Luke was offered and accepted a job at Vision Care of Maine. So… we packed up and moved 3500 miles to Bangor, Maine. We have seen God’s hand in this move in so many ways that we know this is where we are supposed to be. For one, winter put itself on hold so that we could drive across the country safely.
On our way we made a few stops. First stop, La Grande, OR to visit with Jenny and Emma Rudolph.
It was fun getting to catch up. Of course Dallin and Emma had to get their hugs in. It was too bad baby Andrew was asleep so Christine didn’t get to see him. Maybe next time.
We stayed New Years weekend with Jon, Julie and family. It was nice to spend time with them. New years eve was a ton of fun. We almost never stay up that late. I was amazed Dallin and Christine were able to stay awake.
On Monday, January 2, we continued our cross country journey and made it as far as Lincoln, Nebraska. The next morning we left early and traveled as far as Wauseon, Ohio. Our third night in a hotel we stayed in Albany, New York. Every night the cost went up and the accommodations went down. While in New York we took a slight detour and went to go see Niagara Falls.
It was crazy windy and cold. The camera had turned on in my purse so the batteries were almost dead when we got to the falls, hence the non-complementary picture. We were all frozen and ran inside to thaw.
Our final day of travel we drove to Bangor, Maine. We were blessed with getting to stay with Dr. John Bowman and his wife Maryann for the next week. We finally found an apartment to rent and started moving our stuff in on Tuesday. We were finally settled enough to leave the Bowman’s on Thursday January 12th.
If you could call this settled.
We used everything we could think of to keep Dallin and Christine happy while we unpacked.
Dallin and Christine love to play with the baby dolls.
Dallin’s other baby, Mr. Lion.
