March Vacation to Poway

In March had Part 1 of his the national boards exam for optometry.  He had been studying like crazy since school started in January.  We decided that Dallin and I should take a vacation and leave him to finish his studying and take the exam without any interruptions.  So we planned a trip to Poway to visit Grandma and Grandpa Allen.  A few days before we left Dallin came down with a fever and was not acting like himself.  The day before we left we took him to the urgent care.  The PA though it was an ear infection and prescribed amoxicillin.  We gave Dallin one dose and he woke up the next morning with a rash all over his body.  We gave him some Benedryl to counter the reaction but did not have time to take him to the doctors since we were leaving the the airport that morning.  So we think Dallin may have a penicillin allergy but we don't have it confirmed.
We arrived in Poway without any problems on the way.  Dallin enjoyed playing with the couple sitting next to us.  When we arrived Dallin gave himself a tour.
He loved running down the sidewalks.
Dallin also liked checking out Grandpa's bridge.
Dallin was also fascinated by the cats.  When we first arrived when the cats saw Dallin they assumed he was his cousin Kaylee so they ran.  It didn't take long before they realized Dallin would not scream when he got close.

Dallin also got to work on his musical talents.  He was very talented playing the piano.
Dallin loved playing with this toy frog.  He dragged it all over the house.
One of my adventures was to put child-locks on the kitchen.  Dallin loved to get into cupboards all over the house.
Dallin liked being able to sit at the big table and not always in a high chair.
Dallin loved being able to feed himself spaghetti.  I am surprised there were no noodles sitting on his head.
Dallin had fun playing with his cousin Kaylee.  They would play with duplos or play with whatever they could find.

After so much fun it was then time to fly home.
